Arrival at Arusha Airport (ARK)
A propeller plane flies you to Katavi national park, located at the other end of Tanzania. After the exciting game drive in the afternoon you can relax in your lodge and watch the sunset over the savannah.

Game drive in Katavi national park
Katavi national park offers an untouched habitat for lions, leopards, buffalos and hippos. In this huge national park you can also find the largest crocodiles in the country. The whole day is free for safaris and relaxation. In the evening you will enjoy local delicacies at your accommodation.

Game viewing on the flood plain of the Katuma River
Countless herds of hippos gather at the Katuma River, seeking refuge from the heat. The national park, which is located in the “Southern Circuit”, also convinces with its species-rich flora and fauna. In the evening you will return to the same accommodation.

Departure to Mahale national park
You will leave Katavi national park by plane and head to Mahale national park. After landing, you take a boat ride to your accommodation. This is stylish, dignified and extremely remote, far away from any civilization.

Tranquility at Lake Tanganyika
Fishing and snorkeling trips are available at Lake Tanganyika, or you can go on a guided hike in the mountain rainforest. The lake is one of the deepest on earth and gives you the feeling of being in another world. You spend the day the way you want to.

Chimpanzee tracking in Mahale national park
On foot you will go to Mahale national park, where you will search for chimpanzees with your guide. There are over 700 chimpanzees and five other species of monkeys to be discovered.

Bird watching in Mahale national park
You decide how you want to spend the day. One of the options is a bird watching tour. The national park is known for its rich bird life of about 355 different species.

Return journey to Arusha
The boat will take you back to the airport. From there a plane will take you back to Arusha.
